2003 Colyer Herefords Internet Heifer Sale

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our 2nd Annual Internet Heifer Auction. As many of you know, the main reason for having the first auction was due to our large percentage of heifer calves in our 2002 crop. Because of the tremendous support in last year's sale and the success that many of the heifers enjoyed in the 2002-2003 show season, we have decided to have a second online heifer auction.

We really appreciate the overwhelming participation in last year's sale from both new and old friends and customers. We always enjoy our phone calls and emails telling us about how the cattle are performing and how they have done at recent shows. We are very pleased with how the heifers in last year's sale have competed in the show ring this year. Many of these females have had temendous success at both the local and national shows. "Notice Me" was the 2003 Denver Junior Show Grand Champion Female for coyote Creek Ranch. Both the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion females at Reno Junior show were purchased from us by juniors as heifer calves. One of those heifers also went on to be named Grand Champion female in the Junior Show at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. C Notice Me 2009 was purchased by Coyote Creek Ranch in last year's sale and was named Reserve Grand Champion female at the National Western Stock Show, Grand Champion female at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Calf Champion in Reno.

Many of last year's heifers have won their classes at national shows and have been very competitive in their respective divisions. One of the highlights in Denver was the junior heifer calf class where there were four heifers from the internet sale all in the same class. They stood 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. That shows the depth and consistency in the heifer offering. We look forward to next year's show season and ultimately hearing how the heifers are performing in the pasture as cows.
